I believe it is essential to address the grief and loss soldiers and their families experience when a military member returns from service. Returning soldiers face a loss of normalcy, loss of wellbeing, and loss of role. It’s more than readjustment; it’s the loss of their previous life. I treat PTSD in adults who are returning from combat, as well as their family members.
